As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing cost-effective overall solutions for HVDC installations, utilizing PES power electronics solutions. Your expertise in power system engineering will enable you to specify main items of bought-out equipment and develop tools and processes for industrialization.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with an established team of experienced power systems engineers, providing you with various opportunities to develop your skills in high voltage AC and DC power system design.

Key Technical Areas:

* Power System - System Design for HVDC

\t* Main Scheme Design for HVDC Converters
\t* Single Line Diagram

* High Voltage Equipment

\t* Transformer
\t* Switchgear
\t* Measurement Devices
\t* Power Reactors
\t* High Voltage Equipment Testing (Witnessing)

* Insulation Co-ordination

\t* Basic Insulation Co-ordination Studies
\t* Surge Arresters

* Performance

\t* Station losses Calculations

Main Responsibilities:

* Performing studies; deliver study reports

* Produce Specifications for HV equipment

* Witness Equipment Testing

* Technical responsibility in areas of expertise

* Provide guidance to peers on areas of expertise

* Processes: develop and industrialise solution tools and processes associated with the engineering activities identified above. Design Guides

* Development: Be actively involved in new developments in HVDC technologies, implementing control and protection solutions and creating / delivering new analysis techniques and system study tools in order to provide optimized system study solutions

* External activities: Represent the business in external events by publishing technical papers or participating in working groups (CIGRE/IEC/IEEE)

* Adherence to company policies and Code of Conduct

* Health and Safety: consider Health and Safety preventions, risks, behaviors. Attend EHS training

Education Requirements:

* Power Systems Engineering degree, MSc and above

Work Experience Requirements:

* Demonstrated years of experience in industrial engineering roles

Required Software Tools:

* EXCEL

* PYTHON

Personal Skills:

* Able to work to deadlines with high quality, sense of urgency and delivery

* Technical reporting and presentation

* Structured approach to sharing knowledge and experience

* Self-motivating, proactive and results driven approach
