Job Description

As a Senior Power Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing integrated scheme designs that meet customer needs, optimizing ratings and functionalities of HVDC system subsystems in a cost-effective manner.
  • Conducting insulation coordination studies to determine temporary and transient overvoltage stresses on HV equipment and providing protective level requirements for surge arresters.
  • Managing the lifecycle of high economic value High Voltage equipment, including power transformers, instrument transformers, reactors, capacitors, and surge arresters.
  • Creating, verifying, and validating reliability, availability, and maintainability models for HVDC systems and subsystems.
  • Developing and industrializing solutions, tools, and processes associated with engineering activities.
  • Providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Representing GE in front of external stakeholders, including clients, third-party suppliers, and professional bodies.
