The Cambian Group, a leading provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation, and learning disabilities, seeks an experienced Food Technology Teacher to join Southlands School.
About the Role
This challenging yet rewarding position involves teaching students with special needs, providing a supportive learning environment that caters to their diverse needs. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, incorporating innovative educational experiences, and following The Forum School curriculum.
Main Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering lessons tailored to individual students' needs and abilities
- Supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in learning activities and personal skills
- Taking on subject or curriculum area responsibility relating to your skills and experience
- Working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to expand students' horizons and improve their skills
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience in planning, delivering, and assessing learning activities for individuals with special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and protecting vulnerable students
Benefits
Cambian offers a competitive salary range of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including pension scheme, life insurance, and professional development opportunities.
