Hill House School is a 52-week residential special school that provides high-quality care and education for young people with autism or difficulties on the autistic continuum.

Our students have complex needs, associated learning difficulties, and challenging behaviors. We are committed to delivering expert Care and Education while incorporating opportunities for staff and students to experience fun activities.

The role of Senior Teaching Assistant at Hill House School is challenging but also extremely rewarding. As part of our team, you will assist students to access a broad curriculum through individual programs under the direction of a qualified teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students in accessing a broad curriculum through individual programs
  • Involved in ongoing curriculum development and planning memorable learning experiences
  • Mentor and coach new teaching assistants
  • Demonstrate the impact of the Hill House curriculum and present progress to stakeholders
  • Line manage a small group of teaching assistants

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Able to work flexibly in relation to tasks undertaken
  • Practical, creative, and inventive approach
  • Dynamic and proactive attitude

Salary: £24,270 per annum

Location: Lymington, Hampshire
