GSL Education is seeking an experienced and compassionate Education Support Assistant to join their team in Lymington.

This rewarding role involves providing behavioural guidance to students, helping them understand and manage their emotions and actions in different situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement behaviour support plans from teachers and the SENCO to consistently and effectively manage challenging behaviours.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with behavioural challenges, focusing on developing social skills and promoting good behaviour.
  • Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and outside professionals to develop and review behaviour strategies tailored to each student's needs.
  • Keep track of student behaviour and progress, maintaining accurate records and sharing feedback with teachers and parents/guardians as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students who have behavioural challenges in schools or similar environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and parents/guardians.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to create a positive school community.
