We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a stunning luxury health spa in Melton Mowbray. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Head Chef and Head Chef in running the kitchen on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes for up to 200 guests
- Work closely with the Executive Head Chef and Head Chef to maintain a positive and efficient kitchen environment
- Train and develop junior chefs as needed
- Contribute to the creation of new and innovative menu ideas
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end kitchen
- Excellent pastry skills and ability to work with fresh ingredients
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment
- Base salary of up to £33,000 per annum
- Share of staff tips (approx. £1,200 per year)
- Meals on duty
- 39-hour working week
- Straight shifts
- 28 days' holiday
- Free parking
The role is based in Melton Mowbray, and we are looking for someone who is willing to live in the surrounding area with their own transport.
