About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Community Mental Health team in West Wiltshire and Devizes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental and physical health needs of patients in a community setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical input and leadership to the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) with a focus on patients from surgeries in Melksham and Trowbridge.
  • Assess and treat outpatients in clinics, including those subject to Community Treatment Orders.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the complex needs of patients.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of gaining CCT.
  • Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience

We welcome applications from candidates with:

  • CCT in General Adult Psychiatry.
  • Experience of assessing and treating patients in a community setting.
  • Ability to assess and treat psychiatric problems in Adults of working age and to deal with crisis situations.
