Government Relations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Government Relations Manager to join our team at Transport for Wales. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with government officials and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice on government affairs, drafting and reviewing correspondence with UK and Welsh Governments.
- Lead the development and delivery of events, producing briefings for Ministers, TfW Board Members, and the Executive Leadership Team.
- Draft weekly updates for Ministers and officials, highlighting TfW's developments and achievements.
- Deliver robust programs, engaging with Ministers and officials to inform them of TfW's capabilities and ensure Welsh Government trust and confidence.
- Extensive experience working in the public sector and with government officials and Ministers.
- Understanding of Welsh and UK Government procedures and protocols, as well as the political environment in Wales and England.
- Ability to lead on the development and delivery of materials to inform the wider business of best practice approaches and government requirements.
- Demonstrable experience establishing and maintaining effective relationships and communicating with a wide range of colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
