Job Title: Clinical Psychologist Band 8a

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and ensure the systematic provision of a high-quality specialist clinical psychology service to families and staff in the neonatal teams and inpatient paediatric teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide highly specialist psychological assessment and intervention with families within the neonatal unit and paediatric inpatients.
  • Offer advice and consultation on psychological aspects of care to other health professionals.
  • Support clinical team members and work autonomously within recognised professional guidelines.
  • Utilise knowledge of evidence-based psychological interventions and research skills to implement audit, research, and service development projects.
  • Participate in the training and continuing professional development of clinical psychologists and other health professionals.
Requirements:
  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology or its equivalent.
  • HCPC registered.
  • Post-qualification experience through having received a minimum of 50 hours clinical supervision working as a clinical psychologist (or equivalent) over a minimum of 18 months.
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings.
  • Experience of working with multidisciplinary teams and service development.
Desirable:
  • Relevant post-doctoral training.
  • Experience of working in paediatric/medical settings.
  • Experience of offering staff support.
