Job Summary

The Barchester Healthcare organization is seeking a skilled Chef to join their team as a Bank Chef. Main Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating menus that cater to the preferences of residents, while maintaining high standards of nutrition and quality.
  • Work closely with residents to understand their dietary needs and preferences, and tailor menus accordingly.
  • Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring that meals are prepared and served to the highest standards.
  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve excellent results, while maintaining a warm and welcoming environment within the home.

Requirements
  • A personable and warm approach, with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents.
  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification, and have experience in helping lead and inspire a team.
  • A good understanding of nutrition and experience of working with fresh seasonal food.
  • The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within the home, and a good understanding of HACCP.
