Job Description:

We are a bespoke equipment and design consultancy that specializes in specialist projects. We are currently seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our growing team.

About the Role:

  • Design and develop electrical power and control systems for bespoke equipment
  • Hardware design, including component selection and supporting calculations
  • Design and implementation of ethernet and serial networks
  • Programming of PLCs (Siemens and Rockwell)
  • Manufacture and assembly support
  • Creation of technical documentation to support equipment (specifications, risk assessments, manuals, etc)
  • Client support – on-site and remote
  • Peer review of engineering designs
  • Travel to customer sites for commissioning activities

About You:

  • Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline
  • Hardware design experience is essential
  • PLC software experience – Siemens or Rockwell preferred
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical is useful but not essential
  • Experience in Power Systems or HV is highly desirable for this role
  • Ability to work on projects without direct supervision
  • Flexibility to travel for commissioning outside the UK when required
  • Clear thinker with tenacity to solve technical problems
  • Adaptable and willing to take on challenges
