Job Title: Chef
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our catering team at Spire Methley Park Hospital. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality food for our patients, staff, and consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in the preparation of food, including peeling and chopping vegetables.
- Prepare meals, including cooking some food items, as agreed with the Head Chef.
- Presentation and service of food and beverages to the specified standard.
- Assist with the service of food to staff, consultants, visitors, and patients in both the restaurant and wards.
- Maintain adequate control of all stock through stock rotation, date checking, and ensuring packaging is intact.
- Comply with health and safety procedures in accordance with current legislation.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all tasks and duties.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience in a similar position and a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene procedures.
