Job Description

As a Network Engineering Professional at BT Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our transmission networks. Your primary focus will be on surveillance, fault detection, and resolution, as well as maintenance and optimization of network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor network performance using advanced tools and technologies.
  • Identify and resolve faults and incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform maintenance and upgrade tasks to ensure network reliability and performance.
  • Manage fibre repairs and coordinate with external teams as necessary.
  • Collaborate with customers to resolve reported faults and ensure timely restoration.
  • Conduct regular audits to optimize network performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage planned works and software upgrades to ensure seamless network operation.
Requirements:
  • Technical expertise in Transmission Networks Operations (SDH) is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in technical fields such as networks, systems, and IT environments is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues to focus on customer needs.
  • Self-motivated and able to learn and adapt quickly in a technical environment.
