About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Domestic Assistant to join our team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high standard of cleaning in clinical and non-clinical areas, adhering to infection prevention protocols.
  • Work from a daily/weekly schedule to ensure the hospital is clean and patients have a pleasant and safe stay.
  • Perform a range of duties, including cleaning patients' rooms, toilets, bathroom areas, communal spaces, and utility rooms.
  • Carry out deep-cleaning operations in designated areas.
  • Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with safety procedures, including fire procedures and escape routes.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to read simple data and apply basic calculations.
  • Effective communication skills.
