We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Peer Support Worker. As a valued member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a key role in supporting individuals with mental health needs in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one and group support to service users, promoting their recovery and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with the wider staff group to ensure a supportive environment that enables service users to reach their individual recovery goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with service users, understanding their needs and preferences.
- Contribute to the development of service user-led initiatives and projects.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of the service.
- Good IT skills, including Word and Outlook.
- Ability to use the RIO electronic records system (desirable).
- Lived experience of secondary mental health services.
- Willingness to share own life experiences.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with people with mental health needs (desirable).
- Car driver with full driver's license and insurance.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to change and innovation.
- Ability to work a variety of hours to suit the needs of service users and the service.
