We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Performance Psychology Lead to join our Professional Cricket department.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive performance psychology support across Somerset CCC Men's and Women's cricket programmes, enhancing players' mental resilience, performance, and overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic oversight and practical delivery of performance psychology support
  • Collaborate with coaches, support staff, and external partners to ensure psychological aspects are seamlessly integrated into all training and development programmes
  • Deliver both group and individual work, including psychology profiling tools and expertise in brain development and its role in player development and evaluation of talent
  • Maintain high professional standards and drive for excellence in everything you do

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the HCPC as a Sports and Exercise Psychologist
  • Extensive experience working in elite team sport, including major tournaments and events
  • Significant experience working within a multidisciplinary team and delivering both group and individual work
  • Experience delivering performance psychology and leading initiatives related to performance psychology and culture within elite sporting pathways
