About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced dietitian to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a senior dietitian, you will be responsible for providing expert nutritional care and support to patients on the Acute Assessment Unit and Frail Elderly Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide highly specialist nutritional care and counselling to patients on the Acute Assessment and Frail Elderly Units.
  • Support the staff of the AAU and FAU in identifying and referring patients who need expert dietetic support.
  • Supervise junior dietitians and provide clinical education to graduate standard.
  • Liaise with community colleagues to ensure safe discharge and prevention of admission to hospital.
  • Conduct research and audit to ensure that practice is evidence-based.
  • Act as an expert resource on the nutritional management of inpatients and educate and train dietetic students and other healthcare professionals.
