Exceptional Teaching Assistant Opportunity in a Special School Setting

We are recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our expanding team, working in small classes of pupils in a special school setting. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated and passionate individual to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils.
Job Description
This permanent position is based at our West site, where you will have access to excellent resources and facilities. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, complementing the role of teachers and other professionals by undertaking work/care/support programmes which enable access to learning in the community as part of a teacher-planned approach. You will take responsibility for the implementation of learning activities/work programmes under an agreed system of supervision with individuals/groups, in or out of the learning environment. This includes assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of tasks/resources. You will work as part of a team of specialist staff to contribute to the effective and efficient teaching and learning of pupils with additional needs.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner with passion and commitment to making a difference. You will have experience working with children with a range of special needs and be able to work effectively with pupils who require additional support.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is £22,813 - £24,781 per annum, depending on experience. Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with children with a range of special needs. You will also need to have experience of working in a school setting and a strong understanding of the curriculum and teaching methods. A degree in a relevant subject area would be beneficial, but is not essential.
