Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Paediatric Radiologist to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients, including plain radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, MRI, and CT scans.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in paediatric radiology, with experience in teaching and leading in clinical audit processes. They will also have a proven track record of publishing research in peer-reviewed journals and be aware of the importance of clinical governance.

Main Duties
  • Provide diagnostic imaging services to patients, including plain radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, MRI, and CT scans.
  • Teach and supervise junior staff, including radiology trainees and medical students.
  • Lead in clinical audit processes and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of research projects and publications in paediatric radiology.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines.
Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

  • Full GMC registration or evidence of eligibility.
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification.
  • On specialist register for Radiology (CCT or equivalent).
  • Accredited to and Fellow of The Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent.
  • Experience in paediatric radiology, including teaching and leading in clinical audit processes.
  • Published research in peer-reviewed journals in relevant area.
  • Awareness of the importance of clinical governance.
