Warehouse Operative Job Description

Menzies Distribution Limited is seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team in Wakefield. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for providing accurate receipt and despatch of customer goods, while upholding the highest standards of health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading trailers using a counterbalance FLT
  • Operating the internal WMS system, laptop, and hand scanners
  • Taking receipt of pallets from production lines and accurately scanning them into the warehouse
  • Picking orders ready for despatch
  • Stock rotation and consolidation
  • Ensuring all tasks are carried out to the highest standards, working in partnership with the customer
  • Adhering to Warehouse/Plant H&S rules at all times
  • Operating a 'clean as you go' policy to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Assisting on the loading bay as required
  • Adhering to Health and Safety rules at all times

Requirements:

  • Experience operating a counterbalance FLT
  • An in-date, accredited FLT license (RTITB, ITSARR, AITT etc.)
  • Previous warehouse experience, preferably within the food and/or beverage industry
