Job Title: Community Youth Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Community Youth Worker to join our team at Colchester United Community Foundation. As a Community Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mentoring sessions, workshops, and programmes to young people in our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver mentoring resources to support the development of young people.
  • Build strong relationships with students, schools, and community partners to ensure a unified approach to youth development.
  • Support the management of existing and new relationships with schools, community organisations, and external partners to enhance the reach and impact of our programmes.
  • Contribute to the development of new initiatives and improvements to existing projects, securing resources and funding opportunities as needed.
Requirements:
  • Youth Mental Health First Aider qualification or willingness to complete.
  • Qualification in mentoring or a similar field.
  • Experience in youth work, mentoring, or a similar role within education or community settings.
  • Strong communication and rapport-building skills.
  • Willingness to undertake a CUFC Enhanced DBS Check.
  • FA Safeguarding Children Certificate and FA Introduction to First Aid Certificate.
  • Full UK Driving License.
