Job Title: Clinical Psychologist Band 7/8a

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Older Peoples Psychology team in West Yorkshire. As a Clinical Psychologist Band 7/8a, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing specialist psychological assessment and treatment to clients across the full range of care settings.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our established Principal and Consultant CPs, as well as the wider network of OPS Psychologists across the Trust. You will have the opportunity to develop your role, embedding psychological and trauma-informed ways of working, and supporting the staff team through consultancy, formulation, supervision, and training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment to clients across the full range of care settings.
  • Work jointly with other team members and professionals in delivering the most appropriate clinical service to service users and, where appropriate, their families/carers.
  • Establish rapport and build effective working relationships with service users and all those involved in their psychological, emotional, and behavioural well-being.
  • Supervise and support Psychology Assistants, Trainees, and Band 7 HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologists.
  • Provide consultation and supervision when required by other agencies involved in the psychological, emotional, and behavioural well-being of service users.
Requirements
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings.
  • Ability to travel around the Trust as appropriate to the role.
  • Manual Dexterity for conducting tests.
  • A satisfactory sickness record over the previous 2 years.
