Production Planning Engineer - Aero Maintenance

Location: London Gatwick Airport

Duration: 12 Months

Shift: 5 on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off, 4 on, 5 OFF (28 Day Shift Rotation)

Job Overview:

The Production Planning Engineer will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the LGW 145 Production Planning department. As the primary point of contact for Production Planning issues, they will ensure seamless execution and preparation for customer maintenance inputs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the on-shift escalation point for Production Planning queries.
  2. Perform day-to-day Production Planning duties, including building robust production plans for maintenance inputs and work packages in AMOS.
  3. Conduct reviews of work packages to guarantee all consumables, expendables, and tooling are identified and available for planned maintenance.
  4. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements for Production Planning at all times.
  5. Develop accurate Man Hour and Hangar Bay plans for review by Management and/or QA.
  6. Represent Production Planning during internal and external audits.
  7. Take ownership of department objectives and goals.
  8. Collaborate with the Lead Production Planning Engineer to foster cross-team dynamics and ensure processes are monitored and updated.
  9. Monitor compliance through sampling.
  10. Participate in or host required pre-input meetings.
  11. Continuously monitor processes to ensure maximum efficiency.
  12. Ensure no revision changes to approved data prior to the start of input.

Requirements:

  1. Ability to work independently and as a team player, exceeding expectations of internal and external customers.
  2. Previous experience using the AMOS system.
  3. Aircraft Engineering Degree preferable.
  4. Experience in a maintenance planning environment.
  5. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
