Job Title: Production Planning Engineer

Location: London

Duration: 12 Months

Shift: 5 on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off, 4 on, 5 OFF (28 Day Shift Rotation)

Job Summary:

The Production Planning Engineer will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the LGW 145 Production planning department. They will be the primary point of contact for any Production Planning issues during execution and preparation for customer maintenance inputs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Be the on-shift escalation point for any Production Planning queries.
  2. Carry out day-to-day Production Planning duties including building robust production plans for maintenance inputs, building work packages in AMOS, and inputting technical data.
  3. Perform reviews of work packages to ensure all consumables, expendables, and tooling have been fully identified and can be made readily available for any planned maintenance input.
  4. Ensure regulatory requirements for Production Planning are adhered to at all times.
  5. Build accurate Man Hour and Hangar Bay plans for review by Management and/or QA.
  6. Represent Production Planning during internal and external audits.
  7. Take ownership of department objectives and goals.
  8. Work closely with the Lead Production Planning Engineer in creating cross-team dynamics and ensure all processes and procedures are monitored and kept up to date.
  9. Monitor compliance through sampling.
  10. Participate or host required pre-input meetings.
  11. Continuously monitor processes to ensure maximum efficiency can be achieved.
  12. Ensure prior to the start of input there have been no revision changes to the approved data.

Requirements:

  1. Ability to work unsupervised but also be a team player who will grasp opportunities to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers.
  2. Previous experience of using the AMOS system.
  3. Aircraft Engineering Degree preferable.
  4. Experience of working in a maintenance planning environment.
  5. Must have excellent organization skills and the ability to work under pressure.
