Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading test and commissioning activities, de-conflicting tasks, briefing teams and overseeing work for the new design of the reactor plant.

This is an exciting opportunity to join BAE Systems and be part of one of the largest and most complex engineering programmes in the UK.

You will work closely with the Commissioning team to share your knowledge and mentor less experienced engineers to help achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead test and commissioning activities, de-conflicting tasks, briefing teams and overseeing work.
  • Deputise for relevant Commissioning Project Leader as and when required, including supervision of personnel on shift.
  • Liaise/Interface with relevant stakeholders to ensure activities are undertaken in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Instruct and mentor less experienced members of the team with your knowledge and competency.

Requirements:

  • Experience of Commissioning or maintaining mechanical systems in a highly regulated industry (Oil, Gas or Nuclear).
  • Knowledge of safety controls and procedures in a high-risk environment.
  • Understanding of the role and how the T&C contributes to the wider business and UK enterprise.
  • Ability to understand complex Mechanical Systems (Drawings, diagrams, and procedures).
