About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered General/Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Senior Staff Nurse in our Adult Mental Health Service. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and direction to the nursing team, ensuring the highest possible standard of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide visible clinical leadership and professional direction to the nursing team on a day-to-day basis.
  2. Act as a lead for an area of quality, such as tissue viability, infection control, or patient experience.
  3. Plan, allocate, supervise, and evaluate the working practices of the team on a shift-by-shift basis.
  4. Ensure the timely discharge or transfer of patients by working closely with the Discharge Community Liaison Coordinator.
  5. Monitor and develop the performance of support workers.
  6. Act as a Primary Nurse, taking overall responsibility for the nursing care of patients.
  7. Contribute to multidisciplinary team working, risk assessment management, and ongoing clinical improvement.
  8. Provide written nursing reports for statutory and clinical review processes.
Requirements
  1. A current NMC Pin registration with at least 4 years' experience in a similar environment.
  2. A legal right to work in the UK.
  3. Evidence of continuous personal and professional development.
  4. Passionate about providing high-quality care and the Patient and Carer Experience.
