Facilities Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Facilities Officer to join our team at Folkestone Road Depot. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an efficient and effective facilities management service, working closely with the Building Services Manager to ensure the depot is compliant and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Building Services Manager with the delivery of hard and soft FM services across the depot
- Manage the in-house repairs service, including supervision of maintenance operatives
- Supervise external contractors to ensure they are working safely on site and jobs are completed satisfactorily
- Conduct site inspections to identify issues and faults, and ensure the site is health and safety compliant and fit for purpose
- Monitor and control expenditure on building materials and FM consumables
- Conduct weekly and monthly tests on fire equipment, generators, hydrant pumps, etc.
- Good all-round knowledge of delivering FM services in a pressurised environment
- Experience of carrying out repairs and maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, flooring, and minor electrics
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and use own discretion
- Methodical and meticulous approach to planning and executing tasks
- Good knowledge of health and safety in relation to premises management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop and sustain strong, professional working relationships with other service teams and external contractors
- Target-driven with a strong commitment to improving performance and efficiency
