Caseworker - Domestic Abuse Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Caseworker to join our Domestic Abuse team in London. As a Caseworker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to victims of domestic abuse, ensuring they receive the help they need to rebuild their lives.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of service users, delivering excellent services that meet the commissioners' and their service goals to victims. You will work closely with other agencies to ensure an integrated approach to addressing safeguarding concerns and provide information and advocacy to enable service users to navigate and understand the criminal justice process.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of service users affected by domestic abuse, delivering excellent services that meet the commissioners' and their service goals to victims.
- Undertake risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of the client in line with VS operating procedures.
- Provide information and advocacy to enable service users to navigate and understand the criminal justice process and ensure their rights are upheld in accordance with the Victims Code of Practice.
- Work closely with other agencies to ensure an integrated approach to addressing safeguarding concerns.
- Experience of working with vulnerable adults and/or families affected by domestic abuse.
- Understanding and knowledge of an active commitment to promoting equal opportunities, inclusion, and diversity.
- Ability to work without direct supervision, prioritise work, and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests in an organised and methodical manner.
- Understanding of confidentiality and safe working practices, in accordance with safeguarding and data protection legislation.
- Ability to needs assess, risk assess, and empathise with the victim.
- Good IT and administrative skills, including the use of Microsoft Office packages.
- High resilience and the ability to work under pressure.
