Theatre Team Leader Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Theatre Team Leader to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a key member of our theatre department, you will be responsible for leading individual theatre teams and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example and drive improvements in patient care assurance and patient safety
  • Assess staff performance and competencies, and ensure documentation is completed within a set timeframe
  • Collaborate with the SCN/Theatre Coordinator to maintain team ethos, professionalism, and standards of practice
  • Assist with incident reporting, absence management, HR, and performance of the team
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve theatre efficiency and patient flow

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a theatre environment, preferably with training in recovery, anaesthetics, and scrub
  • Advanced IT and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning
