Job Description

Wasterecruit Ltd is seeking a motivated and results-driven Commercial Waste Sales Officer to join their team. As a key member of the commercial waste team, you will be responsible for obtaining and retaining new commercial waste customers within a central London district.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising business owners of their responsibilities in relation to the storage and disposal of commercial waste/recycling and obtaining new business where possible in accordance with the current pricing structure.
  • Achieving realistic revenues objectives through strategic sales and customer retention, to liaise with existing and new customers to provide advice and services where required.
  • Working closely with the Commercial Waste Manager to contribute to the continuous improvement of the Commercial Waste Services and portfolio.
  • Making contributions to the development of the commercial waste service through various forms of communication, including interaction with businesses and customers face-to-face.

Requirements:

  • A track record of effective sales and customer acquisition.
  • Ability to manage a region or postcode and work independently.
  • Proactive and keen to form relationships within the territory.
  • Strong desire to succeed and ability to deal positively with setbacks.
  • Knowledge of waste management is not essential, as this is part of the induction training.

Working Conditions:

  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Some overtime may be required, paid at 1.5 times the standard hourly rate.
