Rikama Education Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at an SEN school in the Edenbridge area.
About the Role:We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to work with students with ASD, SLD, and/or Behavioural Needs on a 1:1 and small group basis. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with mental health conditions and a background in supporting learning for KS3 & 4.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the class with educational, physical, emotional, and social development
- Work alongside the teacher to shape the learning of the pupils
- Provide individualized support to students with special needs
- Collaborate with the school's support team and SLT to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
- 32.5 hours per week, Mondays to Fridays, term-time only
- A friendly and well-established team in a calm and purposeful learning environment
- Support and guidance from the Head Teacher and extended Leadership Team
- Excellent school grounds for high-quality outdoor learning
- Experience working with students with special needs
- Knowledge of special educational needs on a 1:1 basis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for learning and high expectations for all pupils
