About the Role

As a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will play a vital part in delivering high standards of personal care to our residents. You will work closely with the Care team to create a safe, caring, and innovative environment that promotes the wellbeing of our residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, identifying any changes that may impact their care and ensuring that their needs are met.
• Be involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
• Support residents with their medication requirements, ensuring that they receive the correct medication at the right time.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support the development of staff members where required.
• Act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do. You will also need to have:
• An NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years' experience working in a similar care environment.
• The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• A positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• The ability to be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
