We are seeking an enthusiastic Forklift Technician Apprentice to join our team. As a fully qualified Forklift Truck & Powered Access Engineer, you will be responsible for fault finding, maintaining, servicing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in our range of Materials Handling and Powered Access Equipment.
In this 4-year apprenticeship, you will gain on-the-job experience, starting with shadowing your mentor and other Engineers, progressing to performing tasks under supervision, then alongside qualified Engineers where your work will be checked and signed off. Upon successful completion of the programme, you will be considered for a permanent contract as a fully qualified Engineer with a starting salary expectation of £30k+ dependent on location.
What You Will Be Doing
- You will complete the 3-year Level 3 Lift Truck and Powered Access Engineering Technician Apprenticeship standard.
- You will work on customer's premises and at Briggs Equipment Ltd workshop locations within your specified region.
Requirements
- GCSEs at grade 4 / C or Scottish National 5 Grade C or above in English, Science & Mathematics (or equivalent)
- Enthusiasm for all aspects of engineering, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic
- Basic knowledge of health and safety principles
- Ability to work effectively with mentor, line manager, customers, and other members of the team
