About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Large Loss Property Claims Specialist with a leading insurance company. You will handle complex and high-value property claims, valued from £500k+, in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities will include managing an interesting and varied large loss portfolio, achieving KPIs, controlling costs, protecting the company's reputation, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for customers through site visits at various stages of the claim.

You will work closely with regional and Large Corporate claims teams, providing training and coaching, and assisting with technical referrals. Effective relationships will be built and maintained with the Legal Panel, Actuarial, and Underwriting teams, as well as Agents across the UK-wide Agency network, Suppliers, and Loss Adjusters.

You will also advise and guide on complaints, breaches, Financial Ombudsman Service Appeals, County Court Judgements, and other technical referrals.

About you

You will have a track record of handling large loss property claims within insurance, mixing clear customer focus with technical knowledge to achieve results. You will be confident in a regulated environment, open to development opportunities, and bring a positive, 'can-do' approach to your role.

Minimum requirements include significant experience of handling large loss property claims through to conclusion, experience dealing with brokers and corporate clients, a strong customer-focused mindset, excellent negotiation skills, and a highly organised approach to portfolio management.
