We are seeking an experienced and career-driven Commercial Underwriter to join our London-based commercial underwriting team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a multiclass underwriter (Property & Liability and/or Motor Trade) who can operate within agreed guidelines and authority levels to profitably and grow a book of commercial Mid-Market business.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support the Senior Underwriter and Team Manager in delivering financial growth plans.
- Collaborate closely with brokers and customers to gain a deeper understanding of their needs and deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to their unique requirements.
- Utilize data insights to ensure that we deliver tailored solutions to each customer.
- Manage own diary successfully in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous Property, Liability, or Motor Trade underwriting experience.
- Strong ability to analyze risks and communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a large complex organization.
- Confident trading abilities with a broad panel of brokers and good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation.
- Strong commercial business acumen to create and deliver business cases.
- Competitive salary between £[insert salary range] depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
- Bonus opportunity - 8% of annual salary (actual amount depends on performance and Aviva's).
