Job Title: Research Associate in ELSI Genomics

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Associate to join our ELSI Genomics team at The University of Manchester. The successful candidate will work on a project of international significance, exploring the impact and outcomes of rare conditions clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research interviews with patients and non-patient participants
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative data
  • Work with clinical teams to identify patients for studies and promote study participation
  • Collect patient data
  • Apply for and maintain research ethics approvals

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Genetic/Genomic Counselling, Genomic Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Medical Sociology or Social Sciences
  • Experience working with patients or vulnerable/marginalized individuals
  • Desirable: Holding or being close to completion of a relevant PhD/DPhil
