Pharmacy Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy department at Spire London East Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional pharmacy services to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the pharmacy team to ensure the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services.
  • Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation and professional standards.
  • Provide expert advice and support to consultants, clinicians, and patients on the safe and effective use of medicines.
  • Collaborate with other departments to promote a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare delivery.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of pharmacy activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) with no restrictions or conditions.
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical pharmacy experience, including management and leadership roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and take calculated risks.
