LTF Recruitment Ltd is collaborating with an alternative provision in Newark-on-Trent to find a dedicated teaching assistant.

About the Role:

  • This position requires experience working with children who have special educational needs, including ASD and ADHD.
  • The ideal candidate will assist the classroom teacher in creating a supportive learning environment and help develop lesson materials.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary to build relationships with parents and track student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work collaboratively with the teacher to promote a positive and stimulating learning environment for students with SEN needs.
  2. Prepare and deliver lesson material to support the classroom teacher.
  3. Establish relationships with children's parents to keep them informed of their child's development and progress.
  4. Set individual targets for students and monitor progress to create appropriate learning materials.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children who have special educational needs is essential.
  • A level 3 TA qualification or equivalent is desirable.
  • An enhanced DBS check and two professional references are required.
  • The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and be committed to helping students succeed.
