German Teacher Vacancy in Oxford

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced German teacher to join our team at a Secondary School in Oxford.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching German to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, focusing on delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Teach German to students across KS3 and KS4, promoting a deep understanding of the language and its cultural context
  • Plan and deliver interactive lessons that cater to various learning styles, including technology-enhanced and project-based approaches
  • Maintain a well-organized classroom environment, ensuring access to necessary resources and equipment
  • Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support ongoing development and improvement
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification
  • Recent experience as a German teacher in a mainstream secondary school
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students, colleagues, and parents
  • Degree in German or a related MFL subject (desirable)
  • Experience working with students with SEND (desirable)
Terms and Conditions:

The position is based in Oxford and involves teaching four days a week, with Wednesdays off.

We offer a competitive salary range of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience.
