Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant

A unique opportunity to support the education and development of students with special needs has become available at Austin Fraser.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to work as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, supporting students on a 1-1 basis and in small groups. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside qualified therapists, teachers, and other professionals, delivering interventions to children with speech, language, and communicational needs.

This role offers a rewarding career path for individuals who are motivated by supporting and helping children reach their full potential. With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to build robust relationships with students, and a caring, compassionate approach, you will make a real difference in the lives of the children.

The ideal candidate will be willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students, ensuring safeguarding is always a priority. They will also attend staff meetings and complete relevant CPD to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Auxiliary tasks may include assisting the class teacher in providing the learning experience of students, behaviour and pastoral support, and personal care support. No previous experience is required, but candidates should demonstrate an interest in working with children with special educational needs.

A competitive salary of £90 - £110 per day, Monday to Friday, term time only, makes this an attractive opportunity for graduates or aspiring professionals looking to gain experience in a supportive environment.
