Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Domiciliary Care Assistant to join our team at St Monica Trust. As a key member of our care team, you will provide a comprehensive care and support service to our residents, ensuring their independence, dignity, and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care and Hygiene Services: Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, toileting, and dressing, while maintaining their independence and dignity.
  • Ensure Social Support and Engagement: Encourage and facilitate residents' interests and meaningful activities, promoting social interaction and a sense of community.
  • Support Health and Well-being: Assist residents with nutrition, medication, mobility, and other health-related needs, ensuring their overall well-being and safety.
  • Develop and Maintain Care Plans: Formulate, review, and maintain resident care plans, working in line with regulatory bodies and St Monica Trust policies.
  • Build Positive Relationships: Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
  • Perform Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary paperwork, reports, and other administrative tasks, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
Requirements
  • Understanding of Older People's Needs: Demonstrate a clear understanding of the needs of older people, including those with dementia and complex care needs.
  • Personal Care Skills: Possess the ability to attend to personal care needs, including helping with food, bathing, and toileting.
  • IT Skills: Have a good level of IT skills, including Microsoft packages.
  • Care Certificate: Hold a Care Certificate or be willing to work towards it.
Desirable Qualifications
  • First Aid and Food Hygiene: Possess First Aid, food hygiene, and Manual Handling qualifications.
