Early Years Nursery Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our small nursery team, bringing recent experience in Early Years education and a robust understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). A Level 2 qualification or higher is essential, along with a strong command of written and spoken English. We value a holistic and nurturing approach, and we are looking for someone who prioritizes learning through play and can adapt flexibly to the diverse needs of children.
In collaboration with a committed and skilled team, you will engage in all facets of our nursery provision, fostering nurturing relationships with children and families, particularly those with English as an Additional Language (EAL). As a key person, your responsibilities will include conducting assessments and observations, maintaining comprehensive paper-based Learning Journeys, and utilizing In the Moment Planning to enhance children's play, learning, experiences, and communication skills on a daily basis.
The nursery operates during term-time only, with working hours currently set from 9.30 AM to 2.30 PM, Monday to Thursday, plus an additional two weeks during the year. We are committed to promoting staff well-being and continuous professional development (CPD), encouraging you to pursue relevant training and share your knowledge with the team.
