About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Welfare Rights Assistant to join our team at Hull City Council. As a key member of our Welfare Rights Service, you will play a vital role in providing independent benefit advice, casework, and representation to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on social security benefits and entitlements
- Assist customers with claims and appeals processes
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of our Welfare Rights Service
Requirements
- Good knowledge of the social security benefits system
- Experience of the claims and appeals process
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills
- Commitment to promoting social justice and equality
