Job Title: Senior Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commissioning Engineer to join our team at HVAC - FläktGroup UK. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our commissioning programmes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise a small site-based team of engineers and operatives to ensure all commissioning activities are carried out, completed, and accepted to the satisfaction of the FläktGroup Control & Commissioning Manager, General Contractor (GC), and the Client's Commissioning Agents (CxA).
  • Carry out Air Handling Unit (AHU) commissioning tasks according to the established script and other FG equipment if required.
  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure the site team complies with health and safety measures required for each site activity, in line with the GC and client's expectations and requirements.
  • Collaborate with other commissioning engineers/senior engineers to help deliver the Commissioning Programme in the agreed timeframe and budget.
  • Actively manage allocated resources to enable project deadlines to be met.
  • Highlight any risks of resources, financial, programme, or other to the FG Project Manager.
Requirements:
  • Hold a qualification in an electrical competence.
  • Previous experience in HVAC is highly desirable.
  • Understand the principles of air flow and taking measurements, i.e., electricity, pressure, temperature, humidity.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written) is essential, as paperwork, test scripts, and client systems will be in English.
  • Methodical thinker with excellent planning skills.
  • Team player with good communication skills, verbally and written.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Office365 suite of products, emails, etc.
  • Working at height is required, so MEWP and Harness experience is preferred, and you must be comfortable doing this.
  • Demonstrable experience of HVAC and MODBUS systems.
  • The ability to complete Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to a high standard for approval is a key requirement.
