Job Summary

As a member of the Practice Education Team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, your role will be to support Student Nurses within the Trust and contribute to the development and maintenance of quality assured placements for the full range of students undertaking educational training within the healthcare community.

Main Responsibilities
  • Contribute to quality assurance initiatives relating to practice learning at a local, regional, and national level.
  • Act as a liaison between Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and placement providers from within NHS and non-NHS organizations.
  • Influence the preparation and delivery of educational programs that impact on the quality of practice learning and student progression in practice.
Key Functions of the Practice Education Team
  • Support Practice-based Assessors and Supervisors to ensure that student learning opportunities are explored and utilized.
  • Monitor the quality of practice learning experiences for pre-registration healthcare students.
  • Support the development of students by participating in clinically based educational teaching.
  • Represent the interests of Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust in terms of pre-registration education locally and nationally.

Job Requirements
  • Current NMC Registration.
  • Experience of Health Visiting/School Nursing.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience.
