Job Summary

As a key member of the Practice Education Team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Student Nurses and contributing to the development and maintenance of quality assured placements for students undertaking educational training within the healthcare community.

You will:

  • Contribute to quality assurance initiatives at a local, regional, and national level.
  • Act as a conduit between Higher Education Institutions and placement providers from within NHS and non-NHS organisations.
  • Influence the preparation and delivery of educational programmes impacting practice learning and student progression.

Main Duties

The Practice Education Team is responsible for:

  • Supporting Practice-based Assessors and Supervisors to ensure student learning opportunities are explored and utilised.
  • Monitoring the quality of practice learning experiences for pre-registration healthcare students.
  • Supporting student development through clinically based educational teaching.
  • Representing the interests of HDFT in pre-registration education locally and nationally.
