Job Summary

As a key member of the Practice Education Team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Student Nurses and contributing to the development and maintenance of quality assured placements for students undertaking educational training within the healthcare community.

Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute to quality assurance initiatives at a local, regional, and national level.
  • Act as a conduit between Higher Education Institutions and placement providers from within NHS and non-NHS organisations.
  • Influence the preparation and delivery of educational programmes impacting practice learning and student progression.

This role is crucial in the provision of the future nursing workforce development, and you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the quality of practice learning experiences for pre-registration healthcare students.

Key Functions

  • Support Practice-based Assessors and Supervisors to ensure student learning opportunities are explored and utilised.
  • Monitor the quality of practice learning experiences for pre-registration healthcare students.
  • Support student development by participating in clinically based educational teaching.
  • Represent the interests of HDFT in terms of pre-registration education locally and nationally.
