This is an exciting opportunity for someone with expertise in working with older people living with a range of mental health difficulties and dementia.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical services, providing assessments, interventions, and consultations to individuals and their carers.
You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to promote the rights and well-being of older adults and contribute to the development of the service.
Key Responsibilities- To provide evidence-based psychological therapies and interventions to individuals with complex mental health needs.
- To conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and evaluate progress.
- To consult with colleagues and other professionals to ensure effective care coordination.
- To participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A postgraduate doctoral level qualification in clinical psychology.
- Registration with the Health Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist.
- Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
- Proven experience of working with older adults and people with dementia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continuing professional development.
We offer a competitive salary of £43,772 - £58,265 per annum, depending on experience.
