TPF Recruitment, a leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is supporting a top-tier firm of chartered accountants in Faversham, Kent, in their search for a Personal Tax Manager to join their successful tax team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a highly respected firm where you will have the autonomy to manage complex tax affairs, an experienced team to support you, and excellent progression prospects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of personal clients with complex tax affairs, focusing on UK individuals, HNWIs, and some trusts. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing tax planning projects, including non-domicile issues, onshore and offshore trusts, and capital gains and inheritance tax issues.
- Reviewing and completing complex tax returns.
- Overseeing the compliance function and ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Managing HMRC enquiries and dealing with HMRC correspondence.
- Mentoring junior staff members and supporting the Director's growth and development of the tax department.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally hold a CTA and/or ATT/ACA/ACCA qualification, with a strong background in personal tax within an accountancy practice or specialist tax firm. You will have developed a personal tax career with a mix of Top Tier, Top Ten, 50, or larger regional independent firm backgrounds, with a strong compliance and tax planning skill set.
The firm offers a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000, dependent on experience and background, negotiable. Benefits include competitive holiday and pension, hybrid working, parking, and CPD opportunities.
