Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people as a Behavioral Support Worker in our SEMH provisions. The successful candidate will work closely with secondary-aged pupils who have behavioral and SEMH needs, providing essential support to help them thrive both academically and personally.

The role involves working directly with pupils, offering tailored support that meets their individual needs, both inside and outside of the classroom. This includes 1:1 and small group support, behavior management, and mentoring.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing behavior support and mentoring to pupils, helping them develop positive behaviors, social skills, and self-esteem.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionals to implement individual education plans and behavior management strategies.
  • Supporting pupils in engaging with the curriculum, offering guidance and support within lessons across various subjects to boost their academic achievement.
  • Developing and maintaining trusting relationships with pupils to create a safe and nurturing learning environment.
